Edible Memory & The Big Jones Cookbook

Join the Wisconsin Book Festival for an evening celebrating the importance of cultivating and cooking with heirloom vegetables.  Jennifer Jordan's Edible Memory examines the ways that people around the world have sought to identify and preserve old-fashioned varieties of produce. In doing so, Jordan shows that these fruits and vegetables offer a powerful emotional and physical connection to a shared genetic, cultural, and culinary past.  Chef Paul Fehribach's The Big Jones Cookbook focuses on cooking with local and sustainably grown heirloom crops and heritage livestock, reinvigorating southern cooking through meticulous technique and the unique perspective of its Midwest location. And with The Big Jones Cookbook, Fehribach brings the rich stories and traditions of regional southern food to kitchens everywhere.
