Run for Literacy

10/19/2014 - 10:30am

Room of One's Own

Our scenic route down State Street and through the UW-Madison campus is sure to please both avid runners and strolling supporters alike! Choose your distance with the 10K run, 5K run, or 5k walk, or bring the kids to our 10am Fun Run down State Street! Money raised will support Literacy Network’s programs and help keep classes and tutors free for low-literate adults in Dane County. Better literacy can lead to better jobs, better graduation rates for their children, and better health for their families! For more information visit us online at http://raceroster.com/events/2014/2650/run-for-literacy.

About Presenter Literacy Network

Literacy Network teaches reading, writing and speaking skills to adults and families so they can achieve financial independence, good health and greater involvement in community life.  Literacy Network is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization of professional teachers, tutors, volunteers and donors working together to improve adult literacy in Dane County.  Our vision is that every person in Dane County will have the literacy skills needed to independently pursue their life goals, support their family and be active in their community.
