Building Character: Writing Seminar

06/30/2020 - 11:00am

Central Library

If you've been getting stuck trying to sum up a character in broad generalities, this one's for you. Building characters through small, concerte observations is not just more fun, but if you're a human being, you're already good at it. We'll talk about how to take the skills you already have and use them to create a person (real or imagined) on the page. Watch Michelle Wildgen teach us about Building Character.

Michelle recommends writing exercises and prompts for fiction and nonfiction writers.

Presented in partnership with the Madison Writer's Studio, this series of writing seminars is meant to give writers of all interest and ability levels exercises and prompts to spark creativity and generate ideas.
