Claire Agnes is a writer, visual artist, and drag performer. Originally from Pennsylvania, Claire received an MFA from New York University in 2019 and is the current James C. McCreight Fiction Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work has been published in The Rumpus, Entropy, No Tokens, and Driftwood Press. A former assistant fiction editor for Washington Square Review, curator for the KGB Emerging Writers Reading Series in Manhattan, shaman’s apprentice in Iquitos, and Denis Johnson Scholar at Disquiet in Lisbon, Claire currently teaches creative writing in Madison, Wisconsin.
